Mother's Day Weekend

This was Jackson's first time to COSI - a science museum in Columbus. We had a great time with our friends, and the fun could have lasted all day if lunch and naps weren't necessary ... for Mommy and Daddy!

Flower Child

Jackson has his very first chore - He takes care of watering the flowers and LOVES it! It only takes about 3 tries before the water gets in the pot, but he's sure to keep the flowers alive longer than I am!

Eggstravaganza!

Egg coloring didn't turn out to be the disaster I thought it would be. I envisioned Jackson thinking the dye was juice. Nothing was spilled or consumed, and the eggs turned out wonderful!

Blankie Heaven

It's no secret that Jackson loves his blankies! You can imagine his thrill when I pulled ALL OF THEM out of the dryer. He dove right in the basket.

Sunny Days ... Finally!

We had a beautiful day to visit the zoo this week. We saw the gorillas, lions, tigers and elephants. We only have had one meltdown ... Jackson wasn't aloud to pet the geese (which he refers to as ducks) that were wondering around. Yikes!

A Family Affair

Jackson spent Sunday with all his cousins. He had a fun-filled day, and took a late nap in a big bed! It was only a power nap, but he impressed us by not falling out of bed, and climbing down himself when he woke. We gated the door, but he was excited to wait there until Mimi came for him. It's not often we are all in the same place, and this weekend was a much needed reunion for our family.

New Shoes, New Shoes!

I picked out Jackson's shoes last time, so this time the boys went shoe shopping together. Jackson wore them for most of the morning even though we never left the house. These new kicks will surely make him run faster and jump higher!

Training Day

Jackson and I went to Beavercreek to spend a little time with Mimi and Papa. Jackson was a willing participant to try on Papa's antique sports equipment.
Later in the morning we went to the Air Force Museum, where Papa is our personal tour guide! To a little person, the airplanes and hangers can be overwhelming. He slowly warms up to the experience by holding Papa's hand. Within a matter of minutes, Jackson is leading us ... and stops occasionally to "talk" to the volunteers and visitors.

Clean Cut!

Jackson was overdue for a trim. We tried going with the shaggy look for awhile, but I forgot just how much I love a fresh haircut. Today especially, Jackson's hair looked very light with a hint of auburn. Who would have thought!!

Mimi's Blanket Rides

Wheeee!!! What a fun ride for Jackson, and a workout for Mimi ... Round and round the kitchen we go!

Thanks Grandpa & Grandma!

Even after the holidays, the toys keep coming. Grandpa insisted that Jackson needed Elmo Live ... and Jackson agrees! Elmo is a HUGE hit! I don't think he's ever hugged anything so tight. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma!

My Buddy Skip

Skip was named after Jackson's buddy who gave him the penguin for Christmas. As you can see, Jackson is very fond of Skip. He gives him juice, naps and lots of love!

2009 Resolution

Despite being a dedicated scrapbooker, I have not managed to keep up with the many stories and photos of our little family. The new year seemed to be a good time to begin this blog, and resolve to share these memories with family and friends - both near and far.

Feeding My Friends

Jackson's furry friends are better eaters than he is! I was hoping this activity would excite him enough to eat a good dinner himself ... it didn't work, but we sure had a nice time playing before supper!
